AU '21: Rhetoric of Health & Medicine: The work for this class felt like choreographing a dance between my personal experiences living with a disability and the formal study of rhetoric, both as they inform our ideas of health and medicine. It was a space in which I could let so many ideas that I've felt over the years just flow and breath; it was affirming. I synthesized such a variety of ideas that I've engaged with through my classes prior, and brought them together in novel and exciting ways. Using my personal experiences and personally relevant media to glue together my arguments, it made what I shared all the more relevant. I let myself share through this class, and for that I am grateful to myself, and for the opportunity to have done so.

WI '22: Systems Programming: I made a search engine! My own little 333gle! This project really captures my affinity for the workflow associated with software development. I was continuously learning throughout the project and immediately applying what I'd learned, which was extremely satisfying. Aside from technical knowledge gained in C++ and such, this project was also one of my first serious technical partnerships, and maneuvering that was a valuable experience. Certainly flexibility and compassion were inducive to good working relations and a healthy workflow, but this project also presented an opportunity for me to learn to communicate my boundaries, and practice self-advocacy in that regard as well. I also learned that I really enjoy thinking about systems, and am excited to explore this interest in further systems oriented classes next quarter.
